These questions should be asked whenever a patient is referred for MRI but are you asking them?
This update is for primary care professionals who make or are considering making referrals for MRI examinations and need to identify patients with implants and other contraindications to MRI and also understand the information required and what to present to radiology.
Run twice a year, the course is suitable for General Practitioners, First Contact Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Physician Associates, Osteopaths and Chiropractors.
The course will allow you to receive advice and support from professionals at the forefront of MRI practice and safety together with sharing information with other referrers and will help to ensure your responsibilities and duty of care to your patient are maintained.
The MRI environment, equipment and medical devices/implants are constantly evolving and many may not be MRI safe. You will receive the latest up to date information and advice on topics that you need to consider as a referrer.

Delivered by Radiographers and other medical imaging professionals, this course features chat, polling and discussion groups.

Access
Study day access will require a PC/Mac or tablet (Apple or Andriod). Integral webcam and microphone is preferable for the study day component although mobile dial in audio is supported.
